The Trump campaign strategy is to scare America into believing this is what Biden and the Democrats would bring, if Trump loses. And it’s coming soon, to a city near you…
President Donald Trump appears to be enjoying the news video coming out of Portland, served up as read meat to his hungry political base of supporters on social media. Unidentified federal agents in unmarked vans pulling protestors off the streets with no explanation and clashing violently with others, including one video of unidentified federal agents seen beating and macing a Navy vet.
There are countless reports of these same anonymous agents in camo deploying tear-gas with one protester hospitalized with skull fractures after a federal agent shot him in the face with some sort of projectile.
“Every American should be repulsed when they see this happening,” Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said in a statement. “If this can happen here in Portland, it can happen anywhere.”
Deploying federal chaos as a political strategy
Amid the pandemic and record unemployment across the country today, Donald Trump not only approves of what we are all seeing play out live on social media and the evening news from Portland but is planning to deploy this to other cities across America; cities governed by Democrats, all part of a sadistic and vindictive political strategy likely dreamed up by Stephen Miller.
He admitted to the strategy himself: “We’re looking at Chicago, too,” Trump said, “We’re looking at New York. All run by very liberal Democrats. All run, really, by the radical left.”
He continued: “This is worse than anything anyone’s ever seen. And you know what? If Biden got in, that would be true for the country. The whole country would go to hell.” (While there has been a recent increase in criminal activity, in fact, most major cities have seen a long-term decrease in crime, especially violent crime.)
Countering the White House actions, former Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill reacted:
“Let that sink in,” “This is really bad. Where are the conservatives that want state and local control? What federal statutes are being violated? Graffiti on federal buildings? If there is assault with rocks or bottles or arson …these are STATE crimes, not federal.”
The “Don’t Tread on Me,” anti-masking freedom fighters who were likely quite vocal in their support of Cliven Bundy during his standoff with the Federal Bureau of Land Management back in 2014, have today all fallen notably silent, enjoying this latest episode of Trump Reality TV, enforcing a Russian version of martial law with federal forces beating protestors, broadcast live to cell phones around the world.
And Donald Trump actually believes that is his strategy for winning.
The president and some of his closest advisors believe that this is the road for Trump to win in November and they are pushing to expand this strategy to every major city with Democratic mayors across the nation.
White House in an alternative reality?
Several weeks back when the Attorney General authorized violent force and tear gas on nonviolent protesters along with members of the press and other innocent bystanders at Lafayette Park for Trump’s famous photo-op hoisting a BIble, the overall public reaction was immediate and Biden’s lead increased dramatically in the polls over the course of several days.
But if you were to ash Donald Trump what he thought about what happened at Lafayette Park, he’d answer it was a BIG success, with the photo-op a triumph of Strength and Piety.
“I think it was a beautiful picture,” Trump said in a Fox News interview. “I’ll tell you, I think Christians think it was a beautiful picture.”Inside the West Wing, the impulse was largely to spin the event as a success.
Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter and a senior White House adviser, had encouraged the idea – masterminded by Trump advisor Hope Hicks – and transported the Bible in her designer Max Mara purse with a small army of aides accompanying Trump on his walk to the church. In the aftermath, aides tried to reassure the president that the damaging storyline was just more “fake news” and that he had, in fact, pulled off a “historic moment“.
This alternative reality continues to dominate TrumpWorld and it has clearly taken hold inside the bubble of Trump’s own narcissistic mind, where the notion of deploying little green men in masks somehow equates to American Greatness and perhaps Trump’s re-election.
America is watching, Mr. President…
But outside that orange bubble, Americans overwhelmingly believed that what happened in Lafayette Park was a chaotic fiasco.
It represented nothing more than another horrifying presidential blunder in a long series of mistakes that have come to symbolize Trump’s fetish for abuse of power, highlighted now with using what appears to be unconstrained force against peaceful protesters. It’s undeniable that the violence from some protesters in Portland has been appalling at times but Trump is flipping the script, turning the focus from isolated events of protest violence into something that looks disturbingly similar to fascist authoritarianism we’d expect from Russia, China or Venezuela.
And, if the president and his advisors gets their way, we are about to see stories like this in cities all across the country:
A Navy vet asked federal officers in Portland to remember their oaths. Then they broke his hand.
“Why are you not honoring your oath?” he bellowed. “Why are you not honoring your oath to the Constitution?”
An officer trained his weapon on David’s chest as several agents pushed him, sending David stumbling backward. But he regained his center and tried again. Another agent raised his baton and began to beat David, who stood unwavering with his arms at his sides. Then another officer unloaded a canister of chemical irritant spray into David’s face.
That was all he could handle, David said, he turned and walked away, flipping off the federal forces as he went.
A video taken by Portland Tribune reporter Zane Sparling that captures David’s moment of resistance and has already been viewed by countless millions of American voters.
Donald Trump has proven himself incapable of containing the pandemic here in America and that may keep him from winning in November, but he seems hell-bent on trying to ignite America’s second Civil War…
